フレデリック・クラヴェールは、ドイツの経済大臣（1934-1937）および帝国銀行総裁（1924-1930、1933-1939）であったヤルマール・シャハトに関する博士論文を執筆し、20世紀におけるヨーロッパ大陸の通貨組織について研究しました。その後、デジタル・ヒューマニティーズのコミュニティに積極的に参加し、デジタル時代における歴史家と一次史料の関係や、一方で記憶研究におけるウェブプラットフォームの大規模データの活用に徐々に目を向けるようになりました。Twitterを使った第一次世界大戦100周年記念の#www1プロジェクトを主導しました。キャロライン・ミュラー（フランス、レンヌ第2大学）と共同でオンライン書籍Le Goût de l'archive à l'ère numériqueを編集しています。COST Action SlowMemo (CA20105) では、コミュニケーションと広報を担当しています。また、現在の衛生危機の集合的記憶の側面にも関心を寄せています。そして、Journal of Digital Historyの編集長を務めています。
Frédéric Clavert wrote his PhD thesis on Hjalmar Schacht – German Minister of Economics (1934–1937) and President of the Reichsbank (1924–1930; 1933–1939) and then studied the monetary organisation of Continental Europe in the 20th century. He later became an active member of the digital humanities community, gradually turning his attention to the study of the relationship between historians and their primary sources in the digital age on the one hand, and the use of massive data from web platforms in memory studies on the other. He led the #ww1 project around the Centenary of the Great War on Twitter. With Caroline Muller (Université Rennes 2, France), he is co-editor of the online book Le Goût de l’archive à l’ère numérique. He is in charge of communication and dissemination within the COST Action SlowMemo (CA20105). He is also interested in the collective memory aspects of the current sanitary crisis. He is managing editor of the Journal of Digital History.

2021年10月に創刊号が出版されたJournal of Digital History誌は、「多層的」な論文というコンセプトで作られています。本講演では、このコンセプトを説明し、デジタル時代における歴史研究の成果発信に関する考察の系譜に位置づけます。とりわけ、著者の要求に応えるべくしてJDH誌の編集チームが用いている「共同構築」手法を取り上げ、その手法の限界についても考察します。最後に、JDH誌の今後の展望にも触れるつもりです。
The Journal of Digital History (JDH), which published its first issue in October 2021, is based on the concept of ‘multilayered’ article. This talk will explain this concept and insert it into a genealogy of reflections on academic publishing in history in the digital age. It will highlight the ‘co-building’ method that the JDH team used in order to answer the authors’ needs and reflect on the limitations of such a method. It will end with some thoughts about the future of the journal.

千葉大学人文社会科学系教育研究機構助教。同大学が主導する卓越大学院プログラム「アジアユーラシア・グローバルリーダー養成のための臨床人文学教育プログラム」にて、デジタル・ヒューマニティーズ関連講義の設計に携わっている。2022年よりメールマガジン『人文情報学月報』にて、連載「デジタル・ヒストリーの小部屋」を執筆中。大学院講義の中では、任天堂「あつまれ どうぶつの森」を切り口としたDH関連講義も展開した経験がある。東京大学人文社会系研究科西洋史学専門分野博士課程在籍、キングス・カレッジ・ロンドンデジタル・ヒューマニティーズ修士課程首席修了。学会活動として、日本デジタル・ヒューマニティーズ学会「人文学のための情報リテラシー」研究会主査、東アジアブリテン史学会委員、Tokyo Digital History代表などがある。主な業績として、『欧米圏デジタル・ヒューマニティーズの基礎知識』（共編著、文学通信、2021年）、「イギリス海軍における節約と旧式艦の処分」（『国際武器移転史』第8号、2019年）、「アトリエに吹く風：デジタル・ヒストリーと史料」（共著、『西洋史学』第268号、2019年）、‘Toward a Model for Marking up Non-SI Units and Measurement’ (Journal of the Text Encoding Initiative, Issue 12, 2019)などがある。
